50 Jahre Tölzer Knabenchor TV Part 3

Many parents don't know that their child is talented, that's why you have to go to the schools to search for talented boys. From 200 who audition 50 are accepted.

Than a mother is interviewed: She received a letter with a list of places the Toelzer boys choir already visited...and her boy is eager to become good enough, that he once can join the concert choir.

Reporter: Despite of discipline and rules children can be children, because they know how distinguish between a game and serious training...

Frederic Jost sings "Die Mondscheinigkeit" in Bavarian dialect. Than he is shown playing the piano , singing and training soccer (football). He is one of the best soloists in the choir...He only can achieve that, because he is enthusiastic about it. ...

Every boy a soloist ...After this principle ...Schmidt Gaden --a prestigious- voice trainer- forms his choir. In the early 60's the choir is already singing in Luxembourg and Beligium..

Although the Tölzers are a prestigious choir, Schmidt-Gaden is still loyal to his Bavarian origins. A Bavarian folk song is shown, performed by "old" Tölzers...

On Sundays after the church old Tölzers, who once belonged to the choir have meetings, sometimes Schmidt-Gaden joins their meeting...Then two of the men share some experiences they had with the choir... Classical music was difficult, but I was proud when I was able to perform this and did it correctly. It was a great feeling to be around the most prestigious musicians of the time..That's a feeling I will never forget. I'm open for every music...
Even then discipline was difficult...He received a few slaps from Schmidt-Gaden back than...

Schmidt-Gaden uses a metaphor to describe the early years: Out of twenty thistles I had to form roses...

@laughne Ich habe das Elternkonzert auch shon wieder eingeplant, und zwar für den 18.7. Diesmal soll es zwei Konzerte geben, und zwar am Samstag und am Sonntag.
