Commitment to Education in rural Papua New Guinea
The first part of this is the helicopter ride from Wapenamanda to Kaiam. The traditional welcome includes hefting the guest onto their shoulders and prancing about. School at Kaiam is currently being taught by Norman, education: grade 3, and he has 40 boys and 2 girls in this the first class the Penale has had in 15 years. The goal is the basic concept of reading and writing, counting, adding, multiplying.
