Guys spraying this on like he has is fine, you dont however need to have the hose on such a high power, a light spreaded stream that is enough to get the degreaser back off is all you need and if you want you can use a more powerful spray on less sensitive parts

@2CoolF0rSch00l My car is a 1989 model. I really would not worry too much about today's modern cars, they really really have improved a great many things in the modern day with auto electronics. You are correct people won't think about their specific car they own and also not pay attention to just spraying water away from electronics and just hover around them. The guy in the video explains all that and many responders here didn't even listen to what he said to do.

@megatrends Well if you take precautions like covering things up than its alright! Nothing wrong with that. But some people wont bother to or wont know the risk and wash their engine as it is. The point is be careful its not 100% safe and there are other ways.

@2CoolF0rSch00l I cleaned mine today and washed away 23 years of grime and crap. Covered the alternator, battery, ICM and air cleaner with plastic bags. Came out beutifully with no problems. 1989 Chevy Cavalier Z24 with 2.8 Liter V6. I used a foaming engine degreaser and washed it off with a hose. I used Armor All tire shine on the engine components and hoses. Looks awesome .... the engine is old but looks tons better than it did. I can't post a picture here as Youtube forbids it in replies.
