@atomic3939 Just about all the singing German gal duos begin their careers doing folk songs and gradually progress to schlager. As they do so, they do indeed lose their innocence and charm, something only appropriate to the young. Even so, the folk song element is the only element that appeals to me.

@Edward245100 Also....i used to live in Germany. German girls are alot of things....but innocent isn't one of them!!! Atleast not for long. LOL!

@Edward245100 Their have been several Nickelodeon girls who have been very successful at projecting the same sort of charm....Mellisa Joan Hart, Miranda Cosgrove etc... As charming as these German girls are....there is every bit as much "production" and "smoke and mirrors" in their public persona...as any of the acts in America or Britain. Plus...i don't think their injection of German folk songs into their pop songs would be very successful in Britain or America.

@atomic3939 Yes, I think you are quite right. However, these German gal duos know how to project innocence and charm, a commodity that sells well all over the world. One other factor is that the music itself is so superior to the kind of crappy pop music we have here in America. The reason their music is superior is because the Germans know how to incorporate folksong into their pop music.

This song reminds me of Haysi Fantayzee
@atomic3939 Americans like crappy music - period! Who cares how they present themselves if they don't know good music from bad music. The Twinnies have the good sense to do "Bavarian Girls", a piece of music that apparently the whole world likes including some Americans.
