The difference between Fucked Up and other indie-ish punk bands is that these guys are survivors of the underground. They've been together for 10 years, and a majority of their catalog is on tiny Canadian punk labels with shitty recording quality and incomprehensible lyrics. I hate it when punk purists diss this band for doing what so few hardcore bands do- EVOLVING.

I would hardly call this a Hot Topic band. Who gives a motherFUCK if they're not as heavy as Converge? Fuck, barely anybody is as hard as Converge, who cares. I think the music is good and after hearing all of their shit, I would call them artists, not mindless boring modern punk rockers. Hot Topic? Please... This isn't fucking Good Charlotte, for fucks sake! And heavy music can take many different forms and can be art and not all sound like the same goddamn thing.
