  • I just love I feel in love god, I first heard it when I was a little girl and it has never left me. I never knew who song the song until now but this song been ring in my heart ever since I heard it. I have been trying to purchase this song though the internet with no success. It is the best love song that express his love for God, and that is just how I feel after all these years.

  • @TRUOHIO This was recorded in New York, at Generation Sound. My dad was the engineer. The arrangers were Harold Wheeler (just before his Broadway success as conductor for the original production of "The Wiz"; lately he's worked on American Idol and Dancing With the Stars) and Horace Ott (an R&B session veteran).

  • EXCELLENT

  • Oh my! I still have my album!

  • I love this!!!! BISHOP I LOVE YOU!

  • Germany 1979 when I first heard this song & I did indeed fall in love with God & this song. Thanks for sharing!!

  • This was the original Peacock album cover (the gospel division of ABC at the time). After R&B radio stations started playing this song, they re-released it on the main label with a photo of Rev. Townsley by himself. I've loved this man and his music since childhood. If you find a Paramount 45 of "Somebody's Knocking" by Voices of Joy, you'll hear another of his amazing songs (his sister sings lead in that group).

Ask Universal Music to re-master these songs and put them on CD.

  • This is quite innovative! Way before it's time! Awesome! And I agree with Darneloh! LOL

  • This is my first time hearing this type of production style w/ gospel. Like the user mentioned it sounds like a philly/stylistics sound. Very nice. Thx for posting.

  • The music sounds like Stylistic song I started humming Betcha by golly wow lol when I heard this lol!
