Open Carry in North Las Vegas

On 5-17-09 local citizens participated in a community service while raising awareness about the Open Carry of Handguns.

OC is the only choice to assert my rights...I have respect for my fellow citizens...but it is not my fault that our society is so far removed from the intent of our founding fathers. guns helped to found our nation...they should not be feared, just respected.

Knowledge is power. These various Open Carry incidents are more an issue of citizens calling police because they don't know the law. These guys are doing a great thing getting the public informed (and picking up litter). The more law abiding citizens there are carrying weapons, the safer we all are.

On a Side Note - They need to go down to the strip and clean up the trash found there... unreal the amounts of stupid "calling cards" for hookers and garbage that layers the side streets directly off the strip. Pretty ridiculous and anyone who has been there would know what Im talking about.

Great to see citizens exercising their rights. I'm so glad to hear these people speak about educating their children about firearms. It's education and responsibility that make good gun owners and carriers for our future. It's a shame that open carry is so scorned upon, however giving the public clear and good examples of responsible gun owners is a great service that can only benefit our communities.
