  • Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to learn this piece? I'm just now starting to learn a bit of Metamorphosis, and it's very complicated.

  • When I recorded this, I just got the book from this store... So, around once or twice playthrough and then I recorded it...

  • uhhh i don't really think fantastically is a word.. you did wonderfully?? that sounds a little better :)

  • Haha, doesn't matter it's a word or not, as long as I can understand it =P

Yeah, this is a great piece. Have you heard the hours theme? That's also another great one.

  • This is great ! By far the best recording on youtube of this fantastic piece. You should be really proud. Can I make one very minor criticism? - In measure 76 (or at about 4.01 on the video) I don't understand why you would start arpegiating those, it isn't in the score (at least not my edition) - it just seems a little out of place for my ears.

But bravo again ! I'm so happy someone uploaded such a good version.

  • I think that's the part where I was struggling lol... The polyrhythm-ish thing is hard (6/8 against 3/4 I think).

    But thanks! :D

  • it's amazing how much emotion two hands and one instrument can evoke. i don't think there's a word for how this song makes me feel.

  • superb

  • @stevtomato I love The Poet Acts one.

  • I don't think you capitalized your "I"

  • @lilcuddlekill Ah, I thought it sounded like another Glass piece... thanks!

  • This is a good version of the original song 'Island' from Glassworks, but for solo piano.

  • Beautifully done - I love the Hours.

  • I love love love the Hours and you did wonderful. :)
