The reason he says the same comments (no matter if he is Borat/Bruno/Ali G) in interviews is to point out how lame it is for celebrities to always deliver what the audience wants to hear from them.

Everything he does is to demonstrate in the clearest irony possible how futile and pathetic most of today's mainstream prejudice and naive beliefs really are and he does it by bringing them out in the open, in an absurd and humorous way.

@kirschtr It's just the image fashion designers have. He could easily have been from Switzerland or France or Germany or Italy or Sweeden etc. etc. He probably chose Austria because he could say offensive things about the history... I don't know.
