History is full of people who tried to fore their beliefs on others, this idea is not native to christianity, but (every belief or walk of life) is also full of people who do not share this view
@navas015 And I'm not saying it was a good reaction, I'm just saying that the people who burnt down churches were trying to preserve what they consider their legit culture. Posibly most of them were also moved by hatred towards Christianity, but as I said, I can "understand" that hate... I do not share their reaction, but I can understand it. And now you promote a "crusade", you promote fighting hate with hate, which is anti-christian.
@BenjiAJ Pope Benedict is the leader of the first 'blasphemous' institution that ever existed, and dont take me wrong, there is a lot of good catholic people doing good stuff, but as an institution, the catholic church is very anti-christian. They have used jesus as a weapon to force their beliefs and kill people with other beliefs. By the way, how would you feel if an alien army destroyed your church and built an 'alien' building over it? Thats how the norse pagan people felt.
@BenjiAJ there is no christian heritage in Scandinavia or anywhere. its nothing more than a mask to cover all the destruction and crime christians did to the world. Another prime example is the natives who once lived in North America.
@embracedbyfrost To the extent that Scandinavia moves away from Christianity, to that extent will the culture become debased and dehumanized. Hence we who seek to defend Christ and Christianity are in effect redeeming Scandinavian culture. Even Pope Benedict reminded Europe of its Christian roots.
@embracedbyfrost Those who burned down Fantoft Stave Church acted out of an utter hatred for Christianity, since they would have had to have known that the desecration which they allege to have occurred might not have taken place. They weren't willing to let the due process of the law take its course; they were consumed by their hatred of Christianity. The truth is that paganism is a demonic religion, and no Christian should ever apologize for seeking to end its stranglehold on any culture.
@embracedbyfrost Whether that was the case or not, one cannot say unless one can find reputable historians who would agree with that view. In any case, that church had stood on that site long enough for it to enjoy the protection of the law. Given this, the burning of that church was still a criminal act, since we can hardly think of the people whose site was desecrated as having deputized the arsonists to burn down the chuch. They were destroying part of the Christian heritage of Scandinavia.
@BenjiAJ do you know why the churches were burnt in the first place? at least some of them. its because when the "christians" came, they built the churches directly on pagan holy sites. While i do not agree with their actions, putting a building on top of another cultures holy sites is wrong. I can see to an extent why some of the churches were burnt.
Look at what radical muslems are doing in the world today...yet there are plenty of muslems who do not agree with this tactic
