Skidder rolls 400 feet down slope. Damaged seat belt couldn't protect the operator.

  • I knew him. Know the site. He was a very safe operator. He was skidding parrallel to the hill. No one knows how he went over or why he went over. Just shows this can happen to anyone.

  • @Vstar4Jesus

exactly . from now on workers should only use soft rubber hammers

rubber screwdrivers . and styrofoam saws and crowbars ..

every job that contains people to control (big ) machines .

has it risks . . and do you really think everyone gets time or is willing to check up every piece of gear .??

not as long you got bosses riding some serious ass.. nah , time is money .

  • Not to be rude this looks fake when the the skidder I think thats what it is called fell.

  • @NexonnoxeN It's only animated to show what happened. It doesn't need to look realistic :D

  • All because the boss was too fuckin cheap to replace the seatbelt; Seen a lot of worn out saftey equipment; first one to bitch is the first one laid off! happened to me.

  • i noticed stumps have alot to do with rollovers. and the wrong angle

im just learning to operate a skidder and alot of times freak myself out on flat ground because of the stumps.

4days in and going to go back to camp to learn more

  • i thought this had something to do with my username

  • Never trust anyone who feels compelled to wear a helmet to make a Youtube video.

  • @hapkidohapkidohapkid Daily pre trip maintenance is crucial to safe vehicle operation. be careful about the lack of safety mindedness of coworkers, if it rubs off on you or others it can lead to injury or death, or a lifetime of pain.

BTW Where i work the dumb sob's been there for over 15 years and have become very lax in following safety rules and regs. SAFETY is a EVERYDAY task! :)

  • @cr450r it just goes to show SH&& happens to those who take SAFETY for granted!

    ALL accidents can be prevented!

  • At 59 minutes when the skidder comes into view, it is obviously a computer animation. There is no one in the cab!

But yeah too bad the operator didn't take THOUGHT for his safety!! Otherwise he could return home after his work day.
