Utah Senator Orrin Hatch speaks at the memorial service for Sen. Edward Kennedy at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston. "I sorely miss him," he says.

Hatch breaks out the handkerchief at the end of Part 2, and reads a poem he wrote, dedicated to Kennedy, at the end of Part 3.

  • @handyjoe1970 I think that Ted Kennedy was a great man like his brothers, but it is too bad he died, but I am glad he is not suffering and I am glad that he died peacefully. He just made mistakes

  • YOU and Ted show that at the start of rise of sun thru twitlight in site, Life is Honey. Will enjoy sharing this message of peace on Twitter. Thank You.

  • I saw Senator Kennedy after John's death he was so sad. But he told me to go on and he would too. God bless Senator Kennedy

  • this was great

  • Great job Orrin. Hatch acted like a gentleman who had a worthy opponent. I don't like some things Hatch votes for but he's far more conservative than McCain. Great conservative values of self-reliance yet compassionate. To be able to work in the Senate with Kennedy with good taste and still rivalry, they set an example of how to properly go about the affairs of state. To suggest he's a turncoat is idiotic. He produces light not the heat you want. Very reminiscent of Adams vs. Jefferson.

  • And by a republican yet.. Beautiful tribute to an amazing, irreplaceable man. Will there ever be one to come even close to filling his shoes??

Thank you so much for sharing these! ..Did you record Brian Stokes Mitchell's sterling tribute by way of the song "To Dream the Impossible Dream"? The only copy I could find has him singing "...to rush, where the brave dare not go.." already~:)

  • A wonderful tribute to a wonderful man.

  • Orrin, your heartfelt comments about your relationship with Ted give me a ray of hope for America's future. I pray that you'll pick up the torch Ted's left behind and lead the way to help get his dream [for Universal Health Care] passed. America need's a miracle and we need it now.

  • Great to have Hatch's perspective on the Lion of the Senate.

The Senate won't be the same without Kennedy and wouldn't be the same without Hatch.
