NYC Walk for Lupus Now Promoted on NBC Today Show

Volunteers from the New York City Walk for Lupus Now Committee rallied on the plaza outside the NBC Today Show studios on April 28 to promote the upcoming Walk. Their persistence paid off when host Matt Lauer asked All Roker and Ann Curry to step aside and so America could see these dedicated volunteers and promote the New York City Walk for Lupus Now which was held May 2. Approximately 1,100 people walked and raised nearly $200,000 to support Lupus Foundation of America research, as well as education programs and support services for people with lupus and their families and health professionals who live and work in the Greater New York City area.
