The Land of a Thousand Hills (Le Pays des Milles Collines)

After spending a summer researching the 1994 Rwanda Genocide, Jillian Brady and six other students traveled to Rwanda with Greg Murphy, Chair of the School of Contemporary Media in London, Ontario. When she returned to Canada, Jillian and her band, The Inhouse Mavericks, recorded a tribute to two of the young Rwandans who were orphaned in the aftermath of the Genocide. Albert and Sofia became parents to their own siblings and this song is a homage to their courage and generosity. Many thanks to CIDA for their generous support of this project.
