When I uploaded the 1984 Gary Hogue & Junior Knight videos, I thought they were the oldest that I had Id forgotten about an older tape from one of the TSGA Conventions. I apologize for the video quality, but the cameras of that day were not really great like todays cameras but the music is really good. Comparing notes with Junior Knight, we both agree that this one was probably the 1981 convention, though it might have been 1982. DeWitt Scott was there and appears to be co-hosting the show with Charlie Norris. Backing Buddy up, the band is Reggie Brown on bass guitar, Jerry Matheny (seated) on lead guitar, Tommy Nash (standing in black shirt) on lead guitar and I believe the drummer was Bobby Hibbitts (I hope I have the name correct). Please enjoy
Buddy and on the far right of the screen is the incredible Tommy Nash with the black shirt! Does not get any better.

Watching Buddy is sort of like watching Bird...you know that every musical example is legendary. Can't make out the brand of guitar he's using in these videos...regardless.....Buddy could play an ironing board with strings and make it musical. Thanks for posting RC

The steel player with an abundance of everything but what he has more than anything else is pure tasteful playing.
