The CBS version seems to combine the new and old style of doing things. You have your serious quiz show there along with bubbly contestants and a certain degree of luck involved to succeed. Tex is a colorful character with his facial expressions and Minnie seems to have some flair in her. The combonation was unusual for Californias standerds but it all seemed to fall into place. As for the Joker's Jackpot well, real risk involved i think it was the first daytime show where you risk winnings.
