  • You got to hand it to Brindamour for having his team sit through the ceremony, that shows an incredible amount of respect for a player that has been his enemy for years. This was the classiest ceremony I have ever seen.

    Lets Go Devils.

  • i HATE the canes, lets face it... theyve been the thorn in our side for years now... but a lot of respect was shown by them here

  • My all time favorite player growing up, number one. Just amazing.

  • I was there that night and almost cried.

  • Stevens is the ideal captain, especially for the type of team like the Devils were throughout the 90's and early 00's. Not only did all of his opponents fear him, but he was able to make all of the his teammates play in fear of disappointing him. Many of his teammates have stated that his locker room speeches were some of the most emotional they have heard throughout his career. This man played with such passion and intensity, it was truly an honor to watch him play during my childhood.

  • Man some of todays d-men need to watch vids of Scott Stevens body checks, he'll show them how yo finish a check the right way.

  • Had to watch this today..was there for Stevens and Daneyko night and will be there today for Neidermayer! Go Devs!

  • A great skater and put the team first. Leadership by example.

  • is it just me or does rafalski look like eminem

  • I would hate going against Stevens, knowing you WILL get nailed and better watch out when in his own zone

  • @Sandler41882 Potvin. Stevens was a harder hitter, but Potvin was better overall. I love Stevens, but no arguing that Potvin is the best overall defenceman who could hit. I still think Orr was the greatest all time and Potvin is a really close second, but Stevens is the stay at home defensemen.

  • Scott Stevens is the best defenceman to ever play the game. Orr and Lidstrom may be better offensively, but there will never be a defenceman who was better well rounded than Scott Stevens. #4 forever.
