Yea bugs are weapons. I got a 69 bug aswell with a 2733cc kombi engine. 48mm IDF webers, big valve heads, porting, huge cam, custom 2.5 inch exhaust. Its absolutely insane to drive.

I had a 69 Bug with a 1776cc / dual carbs / dual glass pack exhaust it had more power than I thought it would (bugs are so light!), It was fun surprising people during a street race.

Ill never forget the time I pulled up next to an early 80's Chevy pickup, it was lowered, nice rims, Exhaust sounded good, I revved my motor and the passenger literally laughed at me and said "wanna race!?" light turned green and I was GONE, they tried but never caught up to me ;)

@redsamuraidragon Putting that to the test there is a lovely classic black convertible beetle down my road in the best condition a Bug could ever be in. Parked over the road was a red Honda... S2000. How many kids, mums, dads and grandads crossed the road to admire the black Beetle and take photographs of it? Pretty much everyone did. How many people crossed the road to look at the red Honda S2000? None. How many looked twice at the Honda? None. How many took pictures of the Honda? None.
