Crash involving a caravan

One of the main causes of caravan incidents is when people leave them parked over winter so the tyres end up with the flat spot, especially if they are under inflated. The next time they go on a long run the tyres will explode. I see it happen all the time around Easter. Quite often you can smell the rubber burn before the tyre finally bursts. What caravan owners should do is have a spare set of wheels for the winter and only use the road going set when they travel.

It always sucks to see crashed caravans because you just know that their holiday has come to and end on the motorway before it's even started. I can say that because it has happened to me before on the way to cornwall on the A 30 past bodmin, it was a horrid experience. I feel sorry for anyone involved in a crash.

Well done for rubbernecking, gobshite. It's people like you who cause crashes.

Driver of the towing vehicle did well to keep it upright. Proving that you use the heaviest vehicle possible to tow a 'van, not find the biggest 'van you can get that your car will legaly pull. I will not pull more that 2.7 tons with my Land Rover. Legally it will pull 3.5, but why push the window? I hope the Mondeo driver behind took note. Seems he had a bigger rig combination than the 4x4. More to go wrong.

Bleeding rubber neckers, they cause more hold ups than the actual crash.

There was a speed limit in force. To catch up to the "speeding" traffic ahead in lane 1 (we drive on the left in the UK) I would have had to exceed the temporary speed limit in force. Please don't insult me again?
