@norncare1 A roar isn't a call to other dinosaurs for their assistance. The raptors did have a specific roar, and it can be heard as soon as they come through the kitchen door to get the kids in the first movie. I'm not sure if you there is a video of it on youtube, but that is where you should look.

That isn't their actual roar. That is just a call for help. It is even mentioned as such in the film. But there is an actual roar in the film.

@breasthound The main cry of the Velicoraptors was a combination of the sounds of dolphins and walruses. if you go to imdb.com/title/tt0107290/trivi­a, it tells you all the different animal sounds for the dinosaurs calls. Like The Tyrannosaurus' roars were a combination of dog, penguin, tiger, alligator, and elephant sounds. :D
