@gussy24 - Good looking out! You gave me the answer I was looking for. Sounds like I'm gonna have this as my first mixer.

@999storme That's not mixing, that's beatmatching and it's the most basic thing(not very hard at all)

Hi I just got mine. I have 2 questions (to veryfy if my is faulty and I should send it back)
1. Do you have hiss sound in headphones on left channel?
2. Can you hear (notice) any difference between mild/wild res button? I am pressing while having knob in half and I hear no freaking difference at all.

@mikelo303 i have some hissing in both headphones when i put the level on the headphones up loud but not specifically from the left channel - check your decks are earthed properly. Difference with the mild & wild - listen to a track when its about to drop, use the hpf - red one -go up- then pull it down quickly on the first beat then repeat with mild and you will notice the wild sounds more like it has a slight flanger effect on it and the mild version does not, more of a flat sound.

is this mixer better than a dim 400? and can i use this mixer with the cdjs 350?

@vexcompany not sure but the djm has more effects, this is simpler and cheaper but still well built. and yes you can

Been researching this mixer to purchase as I am a 1st time dj. Seems like a great mixer and brand. But I keep seeing 2 things that I'm not sure on.
1. Seen reviews were folks say that the crossfader doesn't have a "thru" setting. What does this mean?
2. There is no power button... how do you turn it on/off..? Plug it in/Unplug it...?
I'm mainly looking to spin / mix DnB but definitely want to build some decent scratch skills.

@busycloud77 I'm not sure about the xfader but i think it means the way the sound travels through the fader - may vary from mixer to mixer but regardless of that you should use your faders for each channel to mix in tracks not the xfader as it gives you better volume control & is good practice. Yes there is no power button, just use an extension cable with a switch on it. Good for scratching & mixing just don't go to hard on the scratching or the Xfader will wear out. Goodluck.
