SEPTEMBER 4, 2011 WEBN FIREWORKS

Every year on labor day in Cincinnati Ohio the local classic rock station 102.7 WEBN puts on a spectacular fireworks display, by using the bridges connecting Ohio and Kentucky as well barges on the river.
I used to attend these fireworks displays every year growing up and as a young adult, in that they signified the end of summer and celebration of another school year. It is punctuated by an all day party that takes place on both sides of the river with cookouts and activities of leisure.
On September 4, 2011 I was lucky enough to attend the fireworks I grew up on and loved as a kid. I think because of them I am a bit of a fireworks snob in that after living on the west coast for 10 years I have yet to see anything close to this caliber of display even on the fourth of July.
With that being said the fireworks are synchronized to music broadcast on the local station, make no mistake this is a city wide event with attendance well over 100,000, on both sides of the river.
This year it was raining, but in an effort to present and preserve my youthful memories, I braved the weather and with my phone recorded the fireworks at ground zero.
Due to the fact they were recorded with my phone, I had to record in 4 to 7 minute chunks to avoid my phone crashing, as a result I had to make a few edits so the flow is not disturbed to much when I put the files together. (There were 5 files in all)
The soundtrack that was broadcast on the radio is not present in this video as I wanted to bring you the WEBN Fireworks as I remember them from my youth. Just the sights and the sounds.
I am in between both bridges, and approximately two football fields from the barge(200 yds).
With a visual display and finale spanning more than 4 minutes I hope you enjoy the video, if you like fireworks you should. This video is in two parts.
Thanks for viewing
