I was fortunate to hear her recently in New York. She is the real thing - a glorious singer with a beautiful, big voice full of colour and character & a winning stage personality. As a former pupil of Virginia Zeani she also has a rock secure technique. If there is any justice in this celebrity obsessed world, she should go to the very, very top.

Wow! nice to see my undergrad roomie doing amazing things with herself!! Go Ailyn!

Right...lovely timbre, but this aria requires a lot of personality...alla Sills.
-
she is ok but the conduting is horrible...it does not have the right style and it breaks the musical line with all these super streched ritardi...i dont like it...
-
Weird trills, but overall quite lovely.

Well the reaction the audience gave her is the same I feel. Really nothing special. And that trill! Why don't todays singers know how to trill?

She's cute in her prom dress!

Not true. She's very special. Check out her Gilda in Rigoletto and "Addio del passato" from Traviata. This aria can just be a bore - esp. with all those damn ritards everywhere.
