Walter Willison [as George Bailey] and Hal Robinson [as his father, Peter Bailey] sing "A Suitcase Full of Dreams" from "Wonderful Life!": The Musical, with lyrics by Walter Willison, music by John Kroner, and book by Douglas Holmes, at presentation for the "Composers Songbook" Concert Series at New York's Donnell Library in 1991. .Mr. Willison, a Tony Award-nominee and Theatre World Award winner, has starred on Broadway in shows including "Two By Two", "Grand Hotel" [winner of 5 Tony Awards], "Pippin", "Norman, Is That You?" directed by George Abbott, Leonard Bernstein's "Mass" at The Kennedy Center, "A Christmas Carol" at Madison Garden, and in the title role of Robert Wright & George Forrest's "Kean" Off-Broadway. He has written book and or/lyrics for produced musicals including the revisal of Frank Loesser's "Greenwillow": The Musical Folktale [co-author with Douglas Holmes]. Mr. Robinson's Broadway appearances include "Broadway" directed by George Abbott, "Grand Hotel", "Nick and Nora" as Herr Schultz in the hit revival of "Cabaret", and In "Old Wicked Songs" Off-Broadway. Accompanying is composer John Kroner. Mr. Kroner's other musicals include "An Elephant Never Forgets: An Evening of Trunk Songs" [L.A. Weekly Theatre Award for Best Music], "The Showgirl of 52nd Street", "Rabbit Sense", "Tapestry: The Music of Carole King" [Producer], he conducted "The Last Session" and "Little Shop of Horrors" Off-Broadway and produced "Easter at the White House" for eight years for President and Mrs. Clinton. Off-Broadway. Based on the screenplay for Frank Capra's film classic "It's a Wonderful Life", "Wonderful Life!": The Musical was commissioned by Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis, in 1989, where the show played an extended run and became the highest grossing production in that theater's history. Over the past twenty years, the show has continued to break box office records in annual productions at various regional and dinner theaters around the United States and in Canada.
