HDTV - High Demolition Television

HDTV is not produced in "High Definition", but in "High Demolition" Format, so that the result will be a blast for any type of screen.

The Movie shows the power struggle between brother and sister over the TV's remote control and thus the TV program. No cheap trick and morally questionable tactic is taboo.

*No animals were harmed for the production, nor were the children taught how to make a hamster shake.*

Believe it or not: This video was filmed using two cameras and a total of 4 hours of film. The scenes had to be repeated lots of times because it was so hard to keep the kids focused and do what we wanted to do. We used two cameras to be able to film total and close-up at the same time to save us some takes with the kids and have better chances to get usable material.

Working with so young kids is tough, you need to be very patient and have luck to find kids that are easy to handle.

it was alright but what was with the looping sounds with the remote controle car?it sounded reatrted like the car was broken

It was looped because, as all sounds in this video they were added during edit, we could not use the audio track of our film material as the kids were so young that they had to be guided step by step on what they should do, because they were so young.

Most sounds were taken from the sound library of our university or the web. It's actually quite hard to find two sounds that sound similar but are not so different that they sound like comming from two different RC Cars for example.

Yeah, that was the idea. We just wanted to create the feeling that anything happening in the video was bad and how easy things can get out of hand. Ultimately our kids should do things that the Coyote from Roadrunner would attempt, too. Actually we planning on making this film a loop of some sort, but the rest of the filmed material just was just not sufficient to do it. (And we did not want to go through "Filming-with-Kids-hell" again) :-(

Ok. I guess that makes me a little less pissed. I'm not the kind of person who gets pissed about hunting deer and crap like that, but hampsters are just so cute and inocent looking. Poor little guy looked so helpless in the thing.

No animal was harmed or threatened for this film. Also, the Kids never knew there was supposed to be a hamster in there. Neither were blades in the mixer while we filmed the little fella in there.
