take Risperdol Constant injections and Clanazapam to relax the brain and nerves ...Alll the problems are psychiatric ...Relief is in sight if you give the miracles of psychiatry a chance....
@kingfunki Hi, I have lived with mTBI for about 30 years now. I don't know if yours will heal or not, since every mTBI is different. But what I can assure you is that you should take some steps. The brain has plasticity, which means it has the capacity to readapt in other healthy areas of the brain. So, try and mold yourself into the person you want to be, and practice with persistence.
Yoga is one of the things that really helped me. But remember to mold yourself into who you want to be.
Every MBTI is different and the recovery time can vary. My personal experience is the brain injury heals very slowly and several years is not unusual for the healing process. I know I always felt "that in another two weeks I'll be fine." It seemed to take forever. IT DOES GET BETTER! Some effects may never go away completely but the grocery store and light healing went slowly but was always getting a little better. Thanks for sharing your experience. The very best in your healing.
will i live with this for ever. it has been a year and half already, and i feel very different. The scene with the grocery store is really how i view the world especially in the morning in the sun. I took 6 months off college and after returning i really feel much dumber than i used to. I have had this mentality of going to get well but it just never came. Am i gonna get better or am i gonna have to live with this for the rest of my life. I feel like my dream of being an engineer is shattered.
It seems very important to try to become mentally active and to undertake metal challenges. When the TBI sufferer struggles with fatigue. I credit my recovery to trying to be mentally active and to learn and relearn. The YouTube videos, the documentary "RECLAIMING YOUR LIFE" were all part of the cognitive retraining suggested by my doctors. I believe it was helpful and the response I have received from around the world has been very gratifying and I hope helpful to others.
My father suffers from post concussion syndrome after falling off a ladder at work onto a conrete floor. It has been about 5 years now and although he has improved somewhat he suffers from the same fatigue/dizzieness and headaches that you describe. What i found particuarly interesting about your video was the grocery store overload as my dad reacts in the same way its almost like there is just too much for him to take in .r.
Thank you for your response, so many TBI survivors tell me they relate to the grocery store sequence. As Dr. Tauger said, "it's called gating.... you can't close the gate to sensory input."
i had three horrible concussions in one year, the last two being very close together. fuck. ive been severely affected. i used to be an honors student, now im struggling through school. and im not who i used to be, i dont feel the same, my mood isnt stable, and my short term memory and cognitive skills are shot. i just got to high school god fucking damittttt i should see a neurologisttttt
