One of my favourite CB Radios. The President Harry has been around for many years in Europe but only hit the UK dealersa few years ago when a type approved Multi UK/EU version was produced. Since then an ASC version has followed and there is now likely to be a Harry III which I believe will look like the new Johnny III which has already been posted on You Tube by '007' Simon The Wizard in Bavaria. I think I'll be calling Neuner Funk soon as I do like the look of the new Cobra Ultra IV. Let's wait and see. Anyway hope you like the Harry - an AM/FM pan European CB radio with legal UK channels on board.
Cheers for now .....

  • You'd need a tuned aerial like an 18 foot dipole or a wire centre fed dipole or maybe a loaded 1/4 mobile antenna on a car but given the right conditions you can in theory get around the world even on 4 watts. Summer months are a good time to check out Sporadic E propogation when signals from all round Europe appear on the EU channels.

  • Yes, providing the Ionosphere is in a reflecting mood (i.e the skip is running) there's no reason why the signal wont bounce back to earth between different continents let alone countries. Currently though solar conditions that effect the ionosphere have been rather poor but who knows as cycle 24 kicks in it may improve.

    cheers Jon
