Cleaned and converted a used 80 gallon saltwater tank to freshwater. Some of the shells are alive, more on that later.
Tank - 80 gallon with a wide footprint.
Substrate - Eco-Complete African Cichlid Substrate - 2 bags of gravel and 4 bags of sand
Rocks - Texas Holey rock, coral from original setup and Texas Grade 4 landfill rocks
Greenery - silk and plastic plants
Filter - Marineland Emperor 400 BIO-Wheel Powerfilter (because it was running on the 40 gallon tank, I just moved it to the 80 gallon tank, I may get another)
2 heaters
1 large air pump with 2 snake air bubblers
Light - jebo with moonlight on a timer
Water parameters
Ammonia - 0
nitrAtes - 5
nitrItes - 0
pH - 8.2
Cycled tank for one week only.
Music is California Dreaming by the MaMa's and the PaPa's..
