Mittens LDS affiliation is a deal breaker with southern baptist and the majority of evangelicals. For most evangelicals it's a doctrinal thing, based on very specific theological disputes that can't be overcome by personality or charm or even shared positions on social issues. To evangelicals, Mormonism isn't just another religion. It's a cult.
They're all kooks and should be forced to live Texas-- let them fight it out Roman style.

I'm surprised they don't have his body in a glass display case, like Lenin in Red Square, and prop him up for display at all the RNC conventions. Too bad Ron Raygun Jr. is a liberal, or they could probably run him for president the way they did to Little George.

Hey, if Palin runs for the GOP presidential candidate in 2012 I'd donate my last dollar to her campaign and do everything I can to see she gets the nomination.
Unfortunately, however, now that Mike Huckleberry has been "Willie Hortoned" it's probably going to be Matinee Mitt. Possibly a Romney/Palin ticket. But I don't think Palin will do any better in the VP debate next time, despite having four more years to practice. There's only so much yu can teach a Parrot to repeat.
