Amen on Croce, the best of the best when it came to sweet guitar accompanying a tender love song. You've done a great job on this one!

hi.. I always use a medium size thumb pick.. I like the clean sound I get from hitting the base strings.. my three fingers on my right hand are long nails.. all other nails are kept short especially on the left hand so that the strings can be properly fretted without the buzzing sound. For me, a thumb pick it one of the most important aspects of playing. It has to 'feel' right and fit perfect. oh.. and never lend them out.. they bed in to your style of playing.. it all adds up.. regards Mike

Im trying to learn this. Are you wearing picks on all fingers or just your thumb
thanks

the way i play G means that the transition to C, Em or Am is very easy..it also allows the little finger more freedom to hit other strings and adds richness.. its the only way to go.. have fun..

hi well played and great voice too - tell me what chords do you play and also I play G with the my first 2 fingers , many others play with the 2/3 fingers with the barre finger spare - interesting. does somehow help playing other chords etc
also some move from D using your middle finger to the G on the top string - is that an easy way to going to a G
What are the correct chords for the song
you should play professionally

Hi Tony, its not a cop out to say I'm not thinking about chords when I play.. Its a combination between right and left hand fingers.. sometimes I just let them get on with it and try and not get involved.. I know that doesn’t help but it’s the way I play these days.. Mike
