The SWT40 are the best classic SL-Rifle ever!
Absolute Respect and Regats from East Germany!

@MrBeast758 Well the G-43 had a copy of the SVT-40's gas system, which was already known for having high recoil, and that was for the 7.62 round the SVT fired, let alone the 8mm. The Garand had the softest recoil of any semi-automatic, and bolt action, since bolt actions had no gas systems and kicked harder also because they were usually lighter than semi autos.
-
@LoneWolf051 what if you shoot an 8mm out of a g43. compare Nagant. 1903. k98k or SVT40. GRAND.G41 (or G43)
-
@MrBeast758 Unless the 30-06 is shot from the Garand, which has less kick than the Mauser due to it being heavier, and the gas system dampens the recoil.
-
8mm ftw, heavyer & faster and higher bullet coe. also has less recoil / power
54 has 18lbs of recoil
30-06 has 24lb of recoil
8mm has 18 lbs of recoil and outperforms 30-06

@maxrocks19 Well the Russians had the assault rifle concept since 1916, but were quick to adopt the newer platform from the StG with their AK
-
@esh325 the biggest thing the soviets copied withthe AK was the concept and the tactical dotrine of the assault rifle
-
god the svt 40 is a horrible rifle

@sinofallsinners The Carbine is a gruesome round, weak, blunt nosed bullet, expands all its energy in the target, resulting in a 12 inch wide cavity, and 6 inches of penetration, but it only does this great damage at a range out to about 50 yards.
The 7.62 of course has much better range, power, and penetration, since its a pointed rifle bullet, but in close to medium range combat, the Carbine is a great one shot kill weapon. I take down deer in a single hit at 0-50 yards with the Carbine.
-
also theres no comparison of a 7.62x54Rmm to a .30 carbine its really rather weak in comparison...the 7.62 is a destroyer
The Russians obviously copied the assault rifle idea from the Germans, but mechanically, the AK-47 and STG44 have little in common. You can say the Russians copied the idea, but not the STG44 itself.

In this case the best of the three is the M1 Garand. it actually had a long military life and was and is an exceptional rife. The SVT40 is also a great rifle but the reality is it wasn't fielded as long as the Garand. The problem with the SVT40 was the Russians had very little training on how to clean and maintain these rifles thus they were abandoned for the idiot proof Mosin Nagant. The Gewehr 43 had a rather short service. And was noted as being a fragile rifle. The StG 44 is a better rifle.
