In terms if design the Cinema Display isnt far from the new Aluminum iMacs, sleek, fashionable and fully Apple. The simple design allows the Cinema Display to blend in with your "apple working environment", also as they say it is clearly built for the macbooks. Nonetheless the main annoying feature about the Cinema Display is the length of the cord. It is a mere 3 foot long meaning that you have to have your macbook literally right next to the display which can become troublesome. On the back of the display you will find a measly 3 USB ports, however this is more than adequate for everyday use.

Most display speakers are plainly "crap" however the clarity and bass that can be achieved out of these speakers are very high. Due to the limited space the speakers arent going to be the best however they are more that substantial if you are going to be using them for casual music and movies.

Now the million pound question is "i just spend all this money but is the screen actually any good?". As soon as you purchase this or just see images on the internet you would of have found your answer. YES. The resolution is contract ration is one of the best i have seen in this market. Yes i do know you can get higher resolution display, however are you getting the attention to detail and these features.

  • i just bought the new 2011 15" MBP, but in the comfort of my home studio i would like the luxury of a larger display, wish i could get the apple display because its the mac daddy of all displays with its superior resolution, but might go w/ a samsung for cost purposes.
