  • I just ordered this one about 30 minutes ago. How well are the passive pick ups at handling clean tones or should I immediately switch them out for EMG's when I get it?

  • @OceanOfOilFilms they are fairly low output. IMHO, they actually handle clean tones much better then they do distorted . i think you will like them

  • @OceanOfOilFilms try the stock pickups first before you replace them. if anything, only the bridge pup will need to be changed out to get the tone you are looking for . bareknuckle makes a few really good 8 string pups, you want want to give them a look. and no, mine had no flaws at all. i've seen the reviews on ss.org you are talking about tough.

  • hey I have an agile 830rn pro dual bloodburst coming sometime this week how hard is it to adjust to the scale and extra 2 strings haha

  • @dontyoudarenoobme if you have a played a 7 string before, it won't be too hard. if you haven't , it's going to be a little difficult at first. you'll get the hang of it though.

  • Icarus Lives! How's the guitar?

  • @MrHelloGuitar i love it !!!

  • your picking is very scratchy....

  • there seems to be a line with 8 strings where either you chug or you djent why can't someone play something in the middle?

  • @LearnToSwim423 I was thinking about Bareknuckle for awhile actually. I wanted to either get Warpigs or Nail bomb. It may save more money obviously too because bareknuckles are an expensive bunch. I appreciate the help though. I'll let you know when mine comes and I'll have some videos of it up.

    Thanks a lot man.

  • @LearnToSwim423 Sweet deal. I still want to be able to have a (I will get labeled as a tool for saying this) "djenty tone" so I can get a really crisp low end. I am planning on playing progressive jazz fusion metal/hardcore with it. I've also heard a lot of stuff about when you get it from the factory it usually has small stains all over it. Have you had any of these problems?

  • nice, left handed guitar 8 string

  • @LearnToSwim423 thanks haha the only thing that gets me now is the absence of fret markers:)
