Unsuspecting shoppers at the Byerly's in Golden Valley, Minnesota were treated to a surprise on April 1, 2010, when performers from the University of Minnesota University Opera Theatre broke out in song.
The surprise began when the soundtrack to Fredrick Weatherly's "Danny Boy" began playing and embedded "customers" and "employees" sang the song using new lyrics written by Colin Holter. The musical was directed by Kristin Kenning.

That Byerlys was in my backyard growing up. April 1 was a Friday. So that means it was sample day. Dinner and a show. Very cool.
