  • Do you need different type of skates to skate on it?

  • @Sportsarethebomb No. You use the same skates that you use on ice.

  • It looks to be like there is a little more leg work involved on this synthetic stuff then from the ice!

  • @ghosthunter5656 Yes, it is a workout, players that want to be the strongest train on Super-Glide and kids learning on Super-Glide are superior to those who learn on ice, the future will have some amazing players.

  • can you spray on it

  • @ForeverDirt3 The particles that get shaved when stopping are heavier than ice and show, so they do not fly through the air. It doesn't get shaved as thick as ice.

  • NO DISRESPECT TO THE OLD BOSTON GARDEN. IM FROM THERE, But this surface would have been ideal in that building....NO FOG!!!!!

  • @rydogg2006 We have been training hockey players for ten years and find inside rinks just have to be swept up or blown off with a leaf blower. Outside rinks should be pressure washed every two weeks to keep a higher skating quality. Dirt is the same as on real ice, not good. Twenty players is considered light use for Super-Glide our surfaces were designed for hundreds of skaters hourly and those rinks are only halfway through their first side after eight years.

  • What kind of maintenance is required with this ? Would a team of 20 players be able to practice on this stuff daily?

  • @nikolasdutkiewichh That is the main difference from Super-Glide and other products. The Russians did a glide test with weights on a blade and found Super-Glide beat competition by eight feet or more depending on the product.
