    My apologies, I wasn't given 1080p video for a game played in 1993 :P

@Sa900 @Sa900 if he took em to "look good" by making him thinner, it would help his stamina, as he has to carry less mass. Why do you think it was banned? He made a bs reason. He said he didn't know what it was at one point, and blamed his own mother. Also, yes, he was very talented. But has tarnished his career In the eyes of many cricket fans.

Fair call, I'll accept that, blaming his mother probably wasn't the best thing to do. Get where you're coming from I guess. That said, he came back from all that stuff as a hugely better player and the only controversies he had afterwards were all part of his private life.

I like Warnie as a leg-spinner, its unfortunate you don't but I respect your view, moreso because you've actually bothered to respond and explain that to me.

I am still yet to recieve an answer from you in regards to how the "POWER OF DRUGS" helped the great man take 1100-odd international wickets. Please shed some light on your delusions for us all.

Don't forget Vaas, who took over 300 odd test wickets, Murali in his prime was by no means a one man attack. Check out the ridiculously in depth analysis done by Anand over at cricinfo, where he takes apart and examines the lone man vs. had to share wickets argument, and shows that Murali comes out on top. Saying that does not diminish what Warne did in any way of course!

    1. Zimbabwe and Bangladesh aren't Test quality teams, wickets against either really shouldn't count.

    2. Warne had to compete for his wickets against Glenn McGrath, another member of the 500 club. Who was Murali competing with?

Everyone except Warne himself - the enforced break allowed his wounded shoulder to heal. He'd been bowling without his usual zip for a few seasons immediately prior to his succumbing to vanity. After the break, his shoulder was better and he bowled as well (or better) than he ever had.

The enforced break actually did him the world of good - he needed to rest that shoulder. He hadn't been bowling with his usual zip for a few seasons up til then, after the break he was bowling as well as he ever had.

Actually he did - got all of them out, most more than once, playing for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield.

Lee isn't in it - Murali is on top but largely due to the fact that Sri Lanka played a lot of Tests against substandard teams from Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Courtney Walsh is also right up there, although he played a LOT of cricket.

The two top strike raters in terms of wickets per Test (of those that have more than 200 wickets) are Dennis Lillee and Clarrie Grimmett (legendary spinner of the Bradman era).
