from my 2005 cd release Acoustic Journey. One of my favorite Y&T songs of all time. Dave Meniketti is unparralled in singing and playing guitar. He was what I was striving to be in my early years of playing and singing. I think a lot of his style and grace is embedded in my voice and guitar playing. He was a huge influence on me.

I was able to track Dave Meniketti down on his message board/forums to ask him what he thought. He said he liked it. Here is the exchange which is have saved all these years.

Dave, Please tell me what you think of my rendition of "Winds Of Change". I recorded it as a tribute to you, Joey, Phil and Leonard.

I learned the song seeing DAVE and Joey play it live close up. They were still doing small clubs before the album came out. I heard this song before it was even on Black Tiger

So by the time SUMMERTIME GIRLS came out and they were all GLAMMED up and getting bigger, I began to HATE them. Looking back, DOWN FOR THE COUNT is a good record. It just suffered from shitty production. THE FIRST AND SECOND ALBUMS [self titled and Struck Down] ARE STILL MY FAVORITE IN ORDER. Then Black Tiger, Earthshaker, Mean Streak, Contagious, IGWT, Musically Incorrect and TENin that order. The other albums are by no means stinkers, but there were just too many SKIPPABLE tracks on the others
