Your heart beats on average 100,000 times every day. The heart keeps our bodies functioning by pumping blood constantly, at work, at the gym, even when were sleeping. Many people forget that we need to make the right choices to keep our hearts healthy.

Smoking is not only unhealthy for your heart its unhealthy for your entire body. Smoking is actually the leading cause of heart disease. Quitting smoking could be the best thing you ever do for your body as it increases blood pressure and can increase the tendency for your blood to clot.
Get Active
Physical activity is a crucial part in keeping your heart healthy, not to mention it helps keep the rest of your body in shape as well. You only need about 30 minutes a day of exercise to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Eat Healthy Fats
Healthy fats are very important as they increase the level of good cholesterol and keep the overall cholesterol level down. However, watch out for those unhealthy fats that increase the bad cholesterol. This can lead to high cholesterol levels that may lead to a blockage in your arteries. These blocks can lead heart attacks or strokes.
Limit Salts and Sugars
Sugars and salts can have a huge impact on the health of your heart. Too much sugar can lead to the development of diabetes and heart disease. An excessive amount of salt can also cause heart disease and may lead to high blood pressure.
