I underestimated Yundi Li. By a long shot.

Congratulations and thank you Yund Li !

You can find the definitive work played by her Royal Majesty Ms. Marta Argerich:
Why does one compare.

I sense that it is not at all about the music but about Yundi Li, he is at the piano but the music is in another place altogether. He plays the Liszt Sonata in a markedly flamboyant and physical sense but the esthetic completely eludes him.

now i understand why the grand pianos of liszt were destroyed during his concerts :O

@lhrmeonom in all fairness, the current Li is not who he was in this video. Lang Lang, however, made great strides in his music in recent years. don't get me wrong, i still prefer Li's elegance over Lang Lang's "drama," but right now the latter is much more inspiring than the former, including myself. also, i just don't understand why of all pianists of their generation, these two draw so much comparison despite been completely incomparable.

@ym42ym42 trust me, why don't you try watching Lang Lang play? He's total shit, especially his Hungarian Rhapsody 2, the ending was just a couple notes, when the original version was much much harder than the childish version he was playing.
-
If he focused more on his piano playing, instead of the pantomime, he would have missed less notes :-)
-
The only bad thing about this is that it's divided into 4 parts.
i like his interpretation.
