Another clip. Diesel 6 y/o AQHA Palomino Stallion sired by Mr Yella Fella out of a daughter of Playgirls Conslusion., diagnosed with EPM in March. This is him after one week on Marquis. Also getting very high doses of Vitamine E, additional vitamin supplements, hight fat diet, tagamet and bute powder twice daily. Please send positive thoughts and prayers that Diesel will improve. He is the sweetest stallion and absolutely gorgeous. Note he has ataxia, extremely weakness in the hind end. He stumbles and falls. Failed neuro exams by 2 vets.

  • he was diagnosed w/ EPM?

  • Yes - He was diagnosed with EMP last Feb / March. He was aggressively treated and Is almost 100% now. I plan to get some new videos of him soon.

  • Thanks - We actually try to keep him quite most of the time. I only taped this to show his previous owner what type of gait abnormality he had. He is very pampered and extremely well taken care of. He is not normally lounged or worked but has free access to a 100 X 150 foot arena and 24 X 12 stall.

  • Hi im Hanna im 13 years old and I have just found out that my horse Molly has EPM about a day or two ago we have caught it early but how did you treat your horse? We have my horse on the right medicine the vet told us to use and she needs but i want to still keep her strong and steady, how would i do this?

  • nice looking horse hope he gets better

  • Watched your other videos of Diesel. One of the things I was told was not to stress my horse during the healing process. I kept him quiet as possible. Mine got so bad that he wouldn't leave his stall to go outside to relieve himself or would he lay down. Consult your vet on this.

  • Jude, check your youtube inbox for a message. Let Diesel rest - he needs it.
