EVICTION Protest , BC NDP Election Campaign Rally , Apr 26 2009

BC NDP Metro Area Vancouver MLA's and BC NDP MLA Leader Carole James and West End renters ( Seniors )
facing MASSIVE rent increases and many facing Reno-Evictions , Rallied in the West End of Vancouver this Sunny Sunday April 26 2009 , Carole James and the BC NDP promise to amend the loophole in the Residential Tenancy Act , That Gordon Campbell and the BC Liberals created in 2004 , If Elected , Renters Young and old , Students , Single Moms , the POOR , Working FAMILIES , All across British Columbia have been affected by this loophole ,Many Landlords have been taking advantage of this loophole , and raising people's rents , by as much as 40 % , Just last week , a 92 year old SENIOR on a fixed income was slapped with a $ 500 dollar per month rental increase , The BC Liberals have had 5 years to change the legislation , They refuse to , It is feared because of recent rulings at the Residential Tenancy Branch that many landlords far & wide , will now request massive rent increases ! Your Rent , may very well be next , Carole James also promises to build 2400 new Affordable housing units in BC , in her first year in office , if elected on May 12 , using the 250 million dollars that's just sitting in a trust fund , while their are so many through out our province either homeless or facing massive rent increases or eviction ! Your Mom , Your Dad , Your Sister , Your Brother , Your Grand Parents Are at risk of loosing there homes , If we Re-Elect Gordon Campbell and The BC Liberals on May 12 !

Carole is not a leader, but a coward. She can't hold together a middle sized political party and yet she thinks she can run a province with millions of people, with a multi-billion dollar budget...dream on lady. Get rid of her so the NDP has a reasonable chance of winning

Why the heck was this rally schedule for exactly the same time as the CALM social housing rally at Little Mountain?? The NDP is out of touch with social movement activists once again.
