As the competition season is about to start, Horse Hero's Fiona Price provides a timely demonstration of how to trim a horse's heels using the time-honoured method of a comb and scissors! The desired effect is a 'contouring' of the fetlock joint rather than a close-crop, as this horse has unclipped legs. It takes no time at all to create a professional looking finish which is easy to maintain. (Another video showing how to do the job using clippers, is in the 'Competition, Turnout & Travel' section of the Video Library.)
What's the thing we have to avoid and where roughly is it and what does it do????

he also needs his feathers to draw water away from his hooves - if he was not meant to have feathers he´d be born with no feathers!
Most competition rules are ridiculous, unnecessary and have no thought for the well-being of the horse
