@Theakker3B Its not as silly as it sounds. The Boys was developed in the 1930s and it would have been effective against most tanks at the time. Even during the battle of France, no more than a quarter of German tanks were Panzer III or IV, meaning that the bulk of German armour would have been vulnerable to the Boys.
Tigers were not seen by the western allies till 1943.
They were also effective against Japanese tanks, but it was always a hideously unpopular gun with the soldier who fired it

The Allies must have been pretty confident after watching this, until they ran into the new German Tiger tanks. Then it was like "Oh Shit!"
