Well, I'm here a year and a half too late, but think this is great. The tone is what makes it...else those harmonics wouldn't come out. Would you mind sharing which gear you used? I had a plexi reissue modded by D. Bray, sounded good with a DiMarzio Super Dist, but not close enough. Also which pickup & effect you used. If ya gotta keep it secret, I still appreciate your post.

@akonitony2 yeah its not too bad but i like the MetalRiffAcademy better :) sounds clean and good tone as well ^^

@reaperontherun716 Yeah, whatever. Actually, after i listened to it again and watched, the notes are all correct, but it is the palm muting that is off. The first time he hits the 6th string twice and mutes it after each time, but the second round he needs to let it ring in the very beginning. Everything else looks and sounds correct to me. Nice tone too.

I know there is a huge van halen revival going and some people either blindly hate the 80s without understanding it, and others mistakenly think it was some golden age, but something a lot of people forget with eddie is that it is more about playing with the right feel (as in rhythm, accents, etc) that it is about playing things exact...eddie made mistakes and didn't do things the same every time. Just make it sound good, don't worry about exact. You have to groove. Eddie would say that I think.
