Drive by wire systems are very trustworthy and are a requirement of any car with traction or stability control systems . these systems make any driver better and should be standard in all cars .. I do not like the the keyless ignition systems , but i see more and more of them .....if my own car had one i would install a simple toggle switch inline with the fuel pump , just in case . you cannot stop progress you must learn about it and feel comfortable with it , time marches on
