So many people pass off compiz as "eye candy", yet it has so many practical and convenient uses, as we see here. I would die without virtual desktops!

We need a CentOS equivalent for SLES/D. With Suse Studio it could be so easy

tsss... I used beryl and XGL on gentoo while it was still beta.

I wasn't back then. Compiz and XGL were originally developed by Novell.
Novell and Red Hat practically develop everything, but sadly distros like ubuntu take the credit.

This is not a SUSE-only feature! This is just compiz-fusion, a composite-window manager package. You can find this in any good Linux Distro.
