Sept 22, 1987 - Video Camera Experiments

Becky Lee's family owned one of those big home video recorders in the mid 80's and when I discovered it, I was hooked! Her and I began filming mini movies and experimenting with angles, shots, and movie "tricks".

On this particular day, she was away at work or school so I played without her - totally interrupting the quiet day I'm sure her mom had wanted. Why Mrs. Lee didn't kick me out I'll never know. Thankfully I said the actual date while I recorded this - September 22, 1987. That means I am 19 years old. Wow!

Since Becky wasn't here to film, I set the camera on the tripod and used the remote record button to start and stop the camera recording. None of these tricks are all that cool BUT I am especially impressed with my ability to make a horseshoe appear in my hand considering I had to stop the camera, bend over and pick up a horseshoe and then bring my hand up to the exact same position and start the camera. Somehow it worked.

Anyway, it's a step back into time for me. :)
