  • I saw him play at Roberts in may 2011 and didnt know who he was. NOW I KNOW.

Let me tell y'all, I heard it from the street and it was SMOKIN. mick

  • @therealrockpresley- well said ,and your right.i got a little defensive cause someone said he's like Tommy Bolin,i reread it, they just said i bet he has all TB recordings.they didn't say he plays like him, just that he kinda looks like him.i don't think he looks like TB at all,but so what.i i'm a HUGH TB fan since the 70's and do have most of his stuff, hate to say all.cause just maybie theres more.

i do need to hear some original JD Simo.thx.

  • i watched your vids man, you're pretty awesome too, and without ego, i think you would benefit in your playing and your outlook on things if you just took them for that they are. good or great. makes no difference. a guitar player's style is as unique as his/her finger prints.

  • @theonemodifier well, for one, it IS a cover tune. second "Good" guitar players are everywhere. "GREAT" guitar players like JD aren't EVERYWHERE. these cats took the time to dig into the craft probably just as much as you did. Come to nashville man. everybody's awesome here, and because of that, the true character of the individual shines through for each player, letting you see the REAL beauty instead of comparison to others, which is impossible to begin with. every player is different.

  • @mickjames001 nice lol. i see it.

  • he's good ,but good guitarists are a dime a dozen these days.he doesn't look or play anything like Tommy Bolin, and should not be compared to someone so original, such as the GREAT Tommy Bolin.this guy seems to have no original style or tone, but he does know his way around.

  • Love this place so much...J.D. your the best....we saw you there at Roberts last Halloween...bought the Don Kelly CD...can't wait to come again next month....

  • i saw this guy last time i was in nashville. ill be moving to nashville soon to join the music scene there. if anybody wants a good lead guitar player message me. im wanting to start a band once i get there. you can watch me on my youtube account or at soundcloud(dot)com/barrylewis enjoyed your video btw. good picker :)

  • He's definately a bad man!! That's for sure. I would put money on the fact that he has every single recording & bootleg that Tommy Bolin ever made? He even kinda looks like him. I love the way he throws in that crunch & those huge blues bends into country covers. This guy needs a bassist, a drummer & a strat!
