I made this in about 1 hour after feeling the need to express my feelings about how Sony royally screwed all existing customers of PS3 Phats. Some things to note: I have no qualms with GeoHot and support him 100%. I don't like the real Hitler. Despite my current hatred for Sony, I don't think every company is without its flaws.



About my feelings on the topic:

Whether you used the OtherOS feature or not, letting a company get away with taking away a feature that your console had from day 1 is unacceptable. Although the PS3's EULA and TOS claim you agree to them making any modifications they want to your console, people should know that those agreements are not above the Federal or State Law in your region.

As a consumer you have the right to be protected from these situations. Companies cannot advertise features that come as a bundle only to then turn around and force you to choose between them as if they were mutually exclusive. Regardless how Sony wants their services to perform or look or cost, you have the right as a PS3 owner to be able to be able to enjoy them all. In this case, Sony is offering no such choice. PSN, Games, BluRay Movies, and OtherOS are features listen on the box and you thus have the right to all of them.

I encourage any PS3 Phat owner to join up and file class action lawsuits against Sony. At the very least, file a complaint to the consumer protection agency or FTC in you country/region.

You should never lose the sales receipt for any expensive product you purchase and all companies void the warranty if you don't have it. All consoles have a cost of repair from their manufacturer after the warranty period and/or if you don't have a receipt. How you feel about PS3 games is subjective. The Sony store (used to) update after the Live store, and each company has their own approval period. Microsoft bought timed exclusive rights for GTA4. PS3 exclusives look amazing.

MAG, SOCOM, KZ2, and MGO are massively popular online games that are each very unique, have hardcore followings, and are exclusive to the PS3. Not to mention other online exclusives such as Uncharted 2, LBP, and ModNation Racers. Anyway, you're a troll, and any further replies would simply be a waste of anyone's time.

@2hottie69 Ksure, XBox has 10x more trolls than PS3, which means 60% of all XBox users are trolls/jerks while 20% of PSN Community are trolls. In other words: XBox has a shit community but good benefits for offline stuff.
