Track Day video from Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) on the Classic course. This video was shot using ONE GoPro HD. I tried to make this video entertaining to even non motorcycle riders.

Having problems making your GoPro HD video look like this?
If you are using Sony Vegas Platinum (or Pro) go here for screen shots showing the exact render settings I used.

Slow computer? Try using proxy files.

  • all your vids are great, im gna hit up lvms in two weeks, glad i could get a glimpse of it first. would you recommend the gopro hd? or the wide angle version?

  • @ryanjtang I would only buy the HD version (not the 170 or 960). The HD version has 5 modes (R1-R5). I use 720P@60FPS and 1080P@30FPS most of the time. I have not used any of the the action cameras on the market.

  • Hi great looking vids, what camera gear are you using

  • @oldscrote2 Most of the shots are from the GoPro HD but at the beginning there are a few I took with a Panasonic Lumix Gh1.

  • Awesome video.. Even nicer of you to include how you editted it.. I just got a GoPro and I'm having some issues, but I've only been monkeying with it for a few hours..

What are you using to convert the mp4 to a suitable file for Vegas? I'm running Vegas Platinum 9 and when I import the mp4 directly I get stuttery playback.. It'd be nice if I could just import it straight into Sony Vegas..

  • @SuperFlyRC Lets try this again. I usually don't convert the MP4 files unless they are really big, then my computer cant take it and cries uncle. Then I use Proxy files. In fact I'll just post a link in the video description how to do it. You can also try converting to a lossless codec that Sony Vegas likes better but I prefer using the proxy files. Sorry for my confusion by my 1st reply.
